My life revolves around children and I would not have it any other way! If I am not here caring for your children I am at home taking care of my three children. Brandon: who is very active, Gwenever: who is very smart and Cadence; who is full of life. Besides living with my children I also live with my Husband Dewayne and my dog Butter. My other loves include Running, scrapbooking, arts and crafts, and making all natural soap for my business. I have been working with Aa to Zz Child Care and Learning Center since July of 2014. Prior to that, I worked at Robin’s Nest in Dover for ten years! I have an Associated Degree in Early Childhood Education from Clarion University and am working on my Bachelors in ECE from Drexel University. I obtained my Director’s Credential in 2016. I also love being in school and think being a lifelong learner is very important!

Hi. My name is Ashley Zipp. I am the director at our Palmyra location. I have been at Aa to Zz since January, 2004. I have been in many classrooms here over the years before stepping into the director role. Currently I am enrolled in Northampton Community College to obtain my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. After many years of experience I felt it was time to get my degree in what I love to do, teaching and loving children as if they were my own. I was born and raised in Palmyra. I love coming from a small, quiet town. My husband, Jeff and I have 2 girls, Madison and Kayleigh. They are our little divas and keep us very busy.
In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach, Knoebel’s and spending time with my family. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully adding you to our Aa to Zz Family.

My name is Maryann Huzvar and I am currently the Regional Director for Aa to Zz in Dauphin & Lebanon counties. I have worked in the field of education since 2001. I began as a public school teacher and quickly found that my heart belonged in early childhood education. I have been with Aa to Zz since June 2006. I have worked as a teacher, center director and regional director. I have loved every part of my journey. I grew up in New Jersey and obtained my Bachelors degree in Psychology and Education from Lycoming College in 2001. I obtained my Director Credential in 2012 and love going to school. Anyone who knows me, understands my family is my world. I currently live in Palmyra with my husband John and our 2 children Olivia and Macie. We also would not be a family without our four legged son Emmitt. I enjoy running and spending time with my children at Hersheypark.

Since graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and minor in Special Education in 2009, I’ve homeschooled, directed the West York center (previously known as “Robin’s Nest”) for several years, and taught at a local elementary school. It is the birth of my first son in August of 2016, which brings me back to a place I have true pride in, Aa to Zz. I look forward to many more years in education as teaching is my passion. I believe any child of any age can reach his or her fullest potential given the right tools. As director, I look forward to helping children reach their fullest potential and building relationships with families in the process.
My name is Heather Laudenslager, and I am the center director at Aa to Zz Child Care and Learning Center’s Schaffner Drive location. Previous to assuming the role of director at our Schaffner location, I was a teacher at our Palmyra location for a little over two years. I grew up in a small town outside of Harrisburg, and upon graduation, moved to Middletown, Pennsylvania where I attended Penn State’s Harrisburg location. In May of 2016, I graduated from Penn State with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, as well as a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Currently, I live in Lancaster County, and spend much of my time outside of work with my friends and family. I love my position as center director and strive to help provide a safe, fun and nurturing atmosphere for your child/children to learn, play and grow.

Hi! My name is Amanda Schwab and I am the Regional Director for Aa to Zz in York county. I have an AA Degree in Child Care Mgmt and have been working in Child Care for over 20 years. Starting as a Preschool Teacher and working my way into Administration. I have been with Aa to Zz (previously known as “Robin’s Nest”) for 11 of those 20 years, and I work with a great bunch of ladies, who have also been there many years. I have been married for 12 years to my husband Chris, and we have 1 daughter, Ainsley. In my free time, I enjoy watching my daughter’s sporting events (she does gymnastics and soccer) and spending time outdoors!

Hi! My name is Shannon Johnson and I am the director at Hummelstown. I have been with Aa to Zz since March 2010 starting as a preschool teacher, and then moving into the director position. I LOVE watching, exploring, and learning from each child as they figure out the world around them. I was born and raised in Lititz, PA and now live in Mount Joy with my husband Matt and our cat, Chesney! In our free time, we enjoy traveling, running, and hanging out. I graduated from Shippensburg University with a B.S. in Psychology, and played field hockey for the Red Raiders. I still coach for a local club team throughout the year. I have always loved working with children, and enjoy each day and the exciting things it brings. I look forward to meeting and talking with you and your child soon!
Hello! My name is Emily Zimmerman. I am the director at Aa to Zz on Route 39 (Hershey Road). I began teaching in the School Age room here at Aa to Zz in September 2016 and spent some time helping out at the Palmyra and Hummelstown locations.
I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Towson University (Maryland) and my Masters and Doctoral Degrees from Nova Southeastern University (Florida). I completed a Pre Doctoral Internship at Western State Hospital in Steilacoom, WA, followed by a Post Doctoral Residency at a Civil Commitment Center on McNeil Island, Washington. After becoming a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I worked for 4+ years in a private practice setting in Tacoma, WA, conducting psychological evaluations (Independent Education Evaluations, Autism Evaluations, Pre-Surgery Evaluations for Bariatric patients, etc), while maintaining a caseload of therapy clients. Prior to working at Aa to Zz Child Care and Learning Center, I also taught at various colleges and universities (in Florida and Washington state) for both Bachelors and Masters degree programs in Psychology.
My family and I (Husband, Cory; two boys, Griffin and Harper; and parents, Bill and Lavonne) relocated to PA to be closer to our family- we have been having a great time. I have also enjoyed getting to know each and every one of our Aa to Zz families!

My name is Doug Wallace. I am a graduate of Gettysburg College with a BA in English. I have over twenty years of classroom teaching experience and hold PA Private teaching licenses for both Grades K-8 as well as High School English. I also possess a NJ Public teaching license for Grades K-8. I began my teaching career on the Junior High level at Sacred Heart School in Camden, NJ spending fourteen years there until I fell in love and relocated to Central PA where I began teaching High School English in two adjudicated facilities located in Lancaster and Franklin counties respectively. I then returned to the Junior High level at the Susquehanna Waldorf School. I am married to my true-love and soul-mate, Carrie. She is my inspiration and strength in my pursuit of bettering the lives of children. The education of children is my passion where I get to live out my belief, “It’s a great day for learning”!

Cynthia Wamsher has been an Administrative Assistant at Aa to Zz Child Care since 2015. She lives in Palmyra with her husband Ryan and her two children Roman and Isabella. Cynthia has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Cynthia has taught preschool for 7 years from 2004-2008 at Aa to Zz Child Care and Learning Center Route 39 location, and 2008-2010 at Knowledge Universe. Since 2010, Cynthia has been in the management role and has been a Program Specialist, Assistant Director, and a Center Director with Knowledge Universe. Cynthia is now happy to be working back “Home” at Aa to Zz where her child care career began. Cynthia has a strong passion for children and enjoys working with them in various ways. Cynthia coaches gymnastics for young children 18mo-age 12 at Paramount Sports Complex in Annville and Head coaches Palmyra Area High School Cheerleaders. Cynthia is also a Zumba® Fitness Instructor since 2010 and Instructs at various fitness studios including at Paramount Sports Complex changing people’s life one beat at a time! Cynthia’s favorite children’s book is “The Rainbow fish”.

Hi! My name is Jo-Ann Trepanier and I am the Director for Aa to Zz at the Queen St location in York. I have been working in Child Care for over 16 years. I worked for Children First Learning Center for 8 of those 16 years. I’m glad to be back “Home” where I started my education and obtained most of my knowledge of children. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern University in 2015. I obtained my Director’s Credential in 2013. I have been married for 26 years to my husband Keith, and we have 5 boys, Sean, Jonah, Matthew, Zachary and Elijah. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my sons play soccer, and leading medical mission trips to Guatemala once a year (since 2005).
